Apps to prevent dangerous situations between drones, birds and aeroplanes.
A collision between a group of birds and an aeroplane is more dangerous than you think. Commissioned by Robin Radar Systems, we developed the Drone Viewer App and the Bird Viewer App. The app supports technology which alerts users to drones and birds, keeps them out of the flying area and thus prevents a collision.
The development of the web application for visualizing and configuring bird and drone tracks from Robin Radar's radar systems was a synergy of modern technologies, notably React, GRPC, and REST APIs. React's dynamic framework facilitated the creation of a user-friendly front-end interface, enabling real-time visualization of detected tracks. Through GRPC integration, rapid data streaming between radar systems and the application was achieved, providing instant updates on bird and drone movements.
The pivotal role of REST APIs, provided by the client, further enriched the application's capabilities. These APIs enabled seamless configuration of radar settings, customization of visualization preferences, and retrieval of historical track data. By harnessing these APIs, the application transformed into a comprehensive platform catering to diverse user needs.
The outcome was a robust web application that empowers Robin Radar with accurate real-time bird and drone track data, fostering informed decision-making. This collaborative amalgamation of React, GRPC, and REST APIs brought forth a cohesive and dynamic toolset, enhancing the efficiency and value of the radar tracking process.
